Automatic Detection of the Arrival and Parking Time of Vechicles
Long-term and illegal parkers at customer parking areas block the limit available parking lots and cause a drop in sales. Up to now an observation of a parking area without a parking lot barrier is only possible with high personnel costs. Additionally there is also the requirement for observation of fire apparatus access roads, drive-in roads, short-term parking zones (e.g. loading zones), and factory sites (arrival of trucks, etc.) With viasense – Car Park Monitoring the parking area is observed by one or several video cameras. The image data is processed by the software system which automatically detects arrival and parking time of vehicles. If a vehicle is detected which exceeds the allowed parking time or which parks on a forbidden area, an alarm is displayed and automatically an email message is generated.

- Cost-efficient solution for autonomously monitoring of the parking area which allows a customer friendly operation (note on the car, putting out a call for the driver, tolerance time depending on parking lot utilization)
- Long-term and illegal parkers will be detected before they leave the parking lot. Thereby it is possible to inform the driver without expensive and time consuming license plate lookup and correspondence
- Further you have the general advantages of video observation: deterring vandalism, documentation and traceability of other incidents (unreported parking damages, car theft, illegal dumping, etc.)
